Forklift Training FAQ's
All training is ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) Accredited and will adhere to the Industryâs Risk Assessments and Method Statements recommended.
Where possible languages will be catered for and our Fluent Italian Speaking Instructors are often able to converse in related languages.
We regularly travel throughout the UK, often with our customers recommending them to their sister sites and have recently seen training undertaken in Liverpool, Worthing, Chelmsford, Rotherham, London, Ipswich and others. Â Â
Training is carried out on our customer's sites. We recommend this to comply with all three parts of the training requirements, Basic Training, Familiaristation Training and Specific Job Training. On site training will allow all Practical testing to be undertaken using the companyâs equipment. The drivers will be familiar already with their surrounds and often gain confidence quicker using the specific power of truck, Gas, Diesel or Electric for their related job needs.
All training is tested for Job Specific training to the height of your racking. If drivers are to be using their trucks in racking of 6 metres high for example then itâs not ideal to be trained and tested to lift to 3m high. Additional familiarisation training will be required to incorporate the companyâsâ onsite racking at the highest point they will be lifting into the racking.
Courses are available to any driver, the only thing which differs is their experience whether complete novices, experienced, refreshers or conversions. Â
All training will be entered on to the (TOPS) Trainer Operator Passport Scheme which is held by ITSSAR as specified by the Health & Safety Executive. Training Records, Feedback and Certificates are issued for every trainee and kept for a minimum of 7 years. (in accordance with our Data Protection responsibilities)
