THE team at Pegasus Lift Truck Training are celebrating after one of their trainees took the Forklift Driver of the Year title awarded by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum.
Paul Stafford who works for Alpro at Burton Latimer was named as the winner of the title after competing against other drivers from some of the biggest logistics companies in the county.
Dawn Girardi and husband Giuseppe, who founded the company 24 years ago, were delighted with the result.
Dawn said: “We are happy to admit we are openly gloating about the result. The competition was quiet fierce and some of the big companies in Northamptonshire put forward candidates, so we were excited to find that someone we had trained, on multiple trucks, had been awarded the title.
“We are proud of the standard of training we offer and to have it recognised in this way is fantastic.”
Pegasus offers a comprehensive range of training courses and assessments in every aspect of materials handling equipment. Training carried out by a team of highly qualified instructors is mainly delivered on clients’ own premises to allow tailoring to specific job loads, giving the trainees familiarisation on the trucks they are going to be using.
Dawn and Giuseppe (known to everyone as Pepe), have many years’ experience in all areas of forklift sales, hire, servicing and finances and are looking forward to celebrating the 25th year of Pegasus, next year.
Giuseppe and the other trainers continue to receive exceptional Itssar (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) Accreditation results with their annual monitoring and the team enjoy their valued customer service.
