What is the value of well trained, efficient forklift drivers to your warehouse and logistics business?
People deal with people – it’s a saying that is in danger of becoming something of a business cliché, but it’s probably more appropriate now than ever before. Pegasus Lift Truck Training has always been a collaborative company with a personal touch and a focus on customer service.
"The most recent accident statistics show forklifts are officially the most dangerous forms of workplace transport in the country, due to lack of training, poor maintenance, poor working conditions and complacency."
With over 30 years of combined experience delivering high quality Accredited training, strong communication with all levels involved in the process ensures clarity and Pegasus are trusted to deliver regular training by large food manufacturers, retail companies and government agencies, working in partnerships to ensure consistent improvement.
Pegasus in the Press
Husband and wife Giuseppe and Dawn Girardi, together with their team make a point of getting to know their clients and sharing their values and missions and as the business has adapted with changing legislation, customers have benefited from the years of training experience Pepe has built up – there’s very little he doesn’t know about lift truck training and workplace safety – while Dawn has also worked in fork lift sales and hire and has a comprehensive knowledge about the equipment available and the best machines for the job.
It goes without saying that anyone operating materials handling equipment must be trained to appropriate levels – but ensuring everyone in the workplace remains safe and well goes beyond that basic training and the Pegasus bi-lingual trainers, delivering training UK wide are putting hundreds of drivers a year through their paces to ensure that they can safely operate anything from all types of warehouse equipment to meet strict, accredited, safety guidelines.
Courses meet P.U.W.E.R (The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998), L.O.L.E.R ( Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998) and L117 legislation, giving operatives training in areas including stability, truck components, pre-shift checks, load weight distribution, handling techniques and vehicle loading and unloading in accordance with the Health & Safety At Work Act 1974.
